Department: Tax & Internal Audit

AWGs Tax & Internal Audit team is looking for an experienced, organized, and self-starter to join the team as an Accountant | Indirect Tax to help support the department.

What will this position entail?

• Manage the multijurisdictional filing of sales and use tax returns including data mining and compilation and coordination with third party in the return filing process.
• Preparation of sales and use tax and other miscellaneous journal entries.
• Reconcile all sales and use tax accounts each period.
• Review company credit card expenses for taxability.
• Review/approve purchase orders ensuring correct taxability in multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain sales and use tax rate codes in multiple systems.
• Maintain customer resale certificates in Electronic Certificate Management System.
• Provide audit facilitation and support.
• Research transactional tax issues as required.
• Maintain sales and use tax licenses for multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide departmental education and support regarding transactional taxes.
• Other duties as assigned.

What experience are we looking for?

• 2+ Years multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technical computer skills; intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• College degree preferred (Associate or Bachelor)
