Wendover Art Group seeks an Art Consultant who has something to prove – and someone who wants to be a part of building the best art company in the world. Wendover’s Art Consultant position offers a one of a kind opportunity for fine art and design professionals to become specialists within the wall décor and fine art markets while building relationships with top industry customers across the country. Wendover’s goal is to develop Art Consultants with well-rounded, fine-tuned, creative and business minds who will be responsible for the full scope of account management including business development, product development, quoting, graphic manipulation, art direction, project management and artist management. Wendover’s leading design and manufacturing focus allows the Art Consultant immediate access to an unparalleled business based fine arts platform.

The Wendover Art Consultant, drawing upon his or her knowledge of art & design maintains three primary responsibilities. The Art Consultant manages relationships and develops artwork packages for national retail accounts, fosters relationships with existing and new artist partners, and develops proprietary artwork for Wendover’s internal line of product.

Art Consultants who will work with the nation’s leading national retailers to curate artwork programs that will be sold globally. The Art Consultant will gain direct exposure to top industry resources as Wendover has established itself as the leading vendor to the nation’s top creatively driven retailers and designers. Wendover’s integrated design and manufacturing platform allows the Art Consultant full creative control in bringing a client’s vision from concept to creation. Wendover’s industry leading investment in product capabilities spans graphic design, print technology, artist partnerships and an in-house Creative team of skilled, multi-disciplinary artisans.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage key relationships with buyers, merchandisers, and designers at national retail customers
• Source art through multiple channels to build artwork programs
• Manage artist relationships and license agreements with artists
• Develop program artwork for national retail, independent retail, and high-end design accounts
• Employ use of studio arts to create and enhance pieces of art
• Interpret and reinforce design concepts through artwork selection and graphic manipulation
• Construct and present design and imagery presentations to client specifications
• Create detailed artwork specifications of selected pieces and work with team throughout the pricing process
• Represent Wendover Art Group at tradeshows, client meetings and industry events

What Else Do We Look For?

• 1-3 years of experience in Fine Art, Studio Arts or other Design focused roles
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Art History, Studio Art, or other related Art or Design fields
• A personal passion for art and design
• Ability to develop art trend boards based on aesthetic objectives
• Ability to provide and interpret art direction to achieve a desired aesthetic
• Entrepreneurial and inquisitive mindset with a passion for doing things right all the time
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under multiple competing deadlines
• Ability to prioritize and manage a consistently heavy workload with precision
• Driven and competitive in spirit with a team first mentality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Basic skills of Photoshop and InDesign is preferred
