Job Description:

seeking highly skilled Data Engineers to join our team in Chicago, IL. This is an onsite, 9-month contract opportunity with a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidates will have strong experience in big data technologies and be proficient in data engineering frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Work with large datasets to optimize performance and data processing capabilities.
• Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to design efficient data solutions.
• Utilize modern data processing technologies to enhance data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.
• Optimize query performance using Hive, Spark, and other big data technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Hadoop and Hive .
• Proficiency in programming with Python or Scala .
• Experience with Elasticsearch for data indexing and search capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Expertise in Spark for big data processing.
• Familiarity with data engineering best practices and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with cloud-based big data solutions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
