The Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns (CPRC) team supports Georgetown University's Office of Advancement by engaging alumni through class and reunion programs and increasing overall alumni giving. This team is responsible for establishing class fundraising goals, recruiting and developing volunteers, identifying high potential donors, helping solicit major gifts, hosting world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), and engaging alumni and students in fundraising for Georgetown.

The Director, Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns manages class engagement and giving for five undergraduate alumni classes. S/he also oversees a team of five and leads the strategic development and implementation for significant projects such as fundraising benchmarking, volunteer leader recruitment, and training. Applicants should be leaders in the field of higher education philanthropy and engagement, possessing exemplary interpersonal skills, intellectual prowess, and a strong track record of achieving and exceeding goals. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the strategic vision and implementation of class ambassador recruitment and development.
  • Increase alumni engagement and giving for 20-30 classes, managing volunteers for five undergraduate alumni class committees.
  • Develop external fundraising and engagement goals for all classes managed.
  • Tailor and implement engagement and solicitation strategies for each class.
  • Work independently and collaborate with Development colleagues and volunteers to solicit gifts from alumni.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing professionals, leading a team of five professional staff members.
  • Manage one programming and operating budget.




Work Interactions
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Campaign Programs and Reunion Campaigns, the Director is an integral part of the CPRC team. The Director manages a team of five staff with fundraising goals, volunteer management and event management responsibilities. The Director interacts regularly with alumni committees, donors, Development officers, and the OA executive team.



Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a development/fundraising environment and experience managing volunteers
  • Desire to contribute to and participate in the mission of Georgetown University with a track record of high achievement and meeting or exceeding goals
  • A proven ability to think strategically and develop strategic plans
  • Ability to lead by example and through instruction with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven experience developing deep, lasting relationships
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with a desire to work in a team environment
  • Professional and collegial demeanor with the ability to exercise diplomacy
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft & Google Suite
  • Experience and comfort working with complex metrics and analysis with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

Pay Range:


The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33


Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
