Facilities Assistant

Contract

Palo Alto, CA

$22 - $25/hour

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to work with one of our TOP clients in Palo Alto, CA. The role involves helping to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment for all staff, students, and visitors. This is an ideal position for someone starting their career in facilities management or building services.

Responsibilities:

• Process non-standard requests, initiate appropriate documentation, notify the Building Manager, and/or coordinate with outside agencies as needed
• Work closely with the custodial team and the Building Manager to identify deficiencies and make recommendations to remedy problems
• Perform facility inspections on a routine basis
• Identify maintenance needs throughout assigned buildings (i.e. safety concerns, missing furniture, etc.)
• Enter corrective work orders to rectify any maintenance issues that are found during building inspections
• Damage billing assessment and compilation
• Gather and manipulate data via Excel
• Provide thorough photo documentation for the damage billing process
• Assist with special facility-related projects as deemed necessary by the Building Manager
• Ability to interface appropriately with Stanford colleagues and outside vendor groups

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in facilities or an educational environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• MS Word and Excel experience
• HS Diploma
