Position: Full-Time Litigation Paralegal

Location: San Jose Office

Reputable law firm is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal for their business litigation practice group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze legal sources (statutes, cases, legal codes), preparing summaries for attorney review.
• Draft and file legal documents, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court requirements.
• Manage discovery responses, eDiscovery, and electronic data.
• Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties.
• Prepare for and attend depositions and trials, summarizing transcripts and assisting during trial.
• Record billable and non-billable hours and ensure timely, accurate timekeeping.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate (work experience may substitute).
• 4-6 years of paralegal experience, with at least 3 years in litigation calendaring and court filing.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, motions, discovery, and evidence.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (knowledge of PowerPoint, NetDocs, ProLaw, and Disco is a plus).
• Experience with e-filing in State and Federal Courts, especially in Bay Area counties.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
