Job Title:  Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:  

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to oversee all aspects of equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and operational reliability at our ice cream sandwich production facility. Our facility features specialized equipment, including Unifiller depositors, cookie depositors, Hobart mixers, ovens, flow wrappers, freezers, coolers, and more. This role is critical to ensuring consistent production and maintaining the quality of our products. 

When machines are not down, you’ll contribute to building maintenance tasks like drywall repairs and painting as may be necessary. Additionally, you’ll manage spare parts inventory and build strong relationships with equipment vendors to resolve issues promptly and efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency. 
• Diagnose and repair machinery, including Unifiller depositors, cookie depositors, mixers, ovens, flow wrappers, and refrigeration units. 
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for troubleshooting and parts replacement. 
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and tools. 
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility, performing repairs (drywall, painting, etc.) as needed. 
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. 
• Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and optimize processes. 

Qualifications:  

• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment. 
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. 
• Familiarity with equipment like Unifiller depositors, cookie depositors, mixers, ovens, flow wrappers, and refrigeration systems is a plus. 
• Ability to manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships. 
• Knowledge of building maintenance and repairs. 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
