Manufacturer in the Gloucester, MA area is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic recent graduate to join our growing team as a Manufacturing Engineer. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
• Support the improvement and optimization of existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Conduct time studies and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the design and fabrication of tooling and fixtures.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve flow.
• Gain experience with CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Related internship completed
• Strong interest in manufacturing and a desire to learn.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication, or other manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Demonstrated project experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects is highly valued.
