Job Summary:

The Wisconsin Badgers are looking for a Motion Graphic Designer with a passion for fan engagement and brand development to create visually impactful graphics for in venue LED displays and IPTV systems. This role should be pursued by a self-motivated individual with a keen eye from trending styles and innovative ideas. Please include a link to your portfolio.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Video Services the Multimedia Designer will create graphics for Wisconsin Athletics in venue LED displays and IPTV systems.
Responsibilities include:

- Design and build high-end graphics for in-venue LED video board productions and IPTV digital displays;
- Use tools available to composite, stylize and create visually impressive elements showcasing players, games statistics and integrating corporate partners;
- Collaborate with creative team on how to further the Wisconsin brand and engage fans;
- Follow current trends and forecast new techniques to conceptualize creative ideas;
- Communicate with outside vendors about logistics, resources, timelines and expectations;
- Train and guide students and staff on use of Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Responsibilities:

Designs and animates multimedia graphics and video content through storytelling, design, and animation principles. Creates dynamic, visual content to communicate complex concepts, inform audiences, and increase engagement.
  • 50% Conceptualizes, designs, and creates storyboards, style frames, animations, motion graphics, and/or live broadcast graphics for multimedia projects
  • 5% Integrates artistic design, photography, video, infographics, and kinetic typography into content
  • 5% Applies creative expertise of visual storytelling through timing, editing, movement, and design principles
  • 5% Applies and maintains technical knowledge of the latest techniques and tools in motion graphic design
  • 5% Analyzes and identifies cost effective options to meet project requirements
  • 5% Schedules logistics, secures resources, organizes, and monitors motion graphic production projects adhering to established timelines and expectations
  • 25% Works collaboratively with other creative professionals, engages in and responds to creative feedback, manages project workflow and timing, maintains files, and follows established work unit processes

Education:

Preferred

Qualifications:

- 3+ years working in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop / After Effects to create graphics;
- Degree in graphic design or related field;
- Proven artistic skills and creativity;
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a time sensitive, fast-paced environment;
- Effective oral and written communication skills

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Minimum $58,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
