Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI is seeking a NURSING MANAGER to join our EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT/URGENT CARE team!

The Manager of Nursing will enjoy leading daily operations for an active ED and Urgent Care, seeing over 30,000 patient visits annually between both units (14 bed ED/UC). The Manager has direct responsibility for managing patient care delivery to optimize patient outcomes, customer satisfaction and resource management overseeing the day-to-day delivery of safe, quality care through coordination of interdepartmental services, patient placement, clinical staffing assignment/support and information flow within their respective department. The Manager is responsible for triaging patient needs, shaping workflow efficiency, and being a mentor to other nursing staff. The ideal candidate has extensive leadership and clinical experience in Emergency Services with a proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives.

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, day shift

Experience/Qualifications

• Valid and current Wisconsin or Michigan registered nurse license or compact license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from accredited school required (BSN).
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or similar preferred.
• Certification in nursing leadership is desired.
• Minimum of three years supervisory or relevant experience required.
• Minimum of five years in healthcare experience required.
• Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
• Applies knowledge of nursing operations and policy, as well as development and implementation of budgets, strategies, and standards.
• Has hospital/health system experience with direct responsibility for talent management, cost/revenue centers and performance improvement.
• Demonstrates effectiveness in a leader role and organizational management skills.
• Demonstrates ability to successfully work within a highly matrixed organization.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and follow through on commitments.
• Manages different perspectives and finds win-win solutions.
• Demonstrates basic financial/analytical skills, strong verbal/written communication and problem identification and resolution skills, use critical thinking and good judgment, and ability to develop/mentor management team.
• Recognizes proactive workflow problems and participates in process improvements to achieve desired outcomes.
• Partners effectively with physicians, staff and professionals in multiple settings and locations and to promote diversity in the workplace.
• Participates in community and professional organizations.
