Epic Systems Analyst
Position Overview The Remote Pharmacy Epic Application Analyst will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Epic systems, particularly in the areas of pharmacy and clinical workflows. The role encompasses technical support, project planning, and ensuring that the systems meet both operational and clinical requirements while adhering to compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements for Epic applications, particularly in pharmacy and clinical settings.
- Design, configure, and implement Epic systems ensuring alignment with business needs and workflow processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Epic systems, including hardware and software issues.
- Conduct system upgrades and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to end users and workflows.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, testing procedures, and user training materials.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis to assess the value of system enhancements and modifications.
- Facilitate project planning and management using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain system security through access management and provisioning processes.
- Build strong relationships with end users, vendors, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for end users to ensure effective utilization of Epic systems.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certification in Epic Systems, particularly Willow Ambulatory, is highly preferred.
- Proven 5+ years of experience in technical support, system design, and project management within healthcare IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy workflows and clinical operational processes.
- Experience with software troubleshooting, hardware troubleshooting, and peripheral equipment management.
- Familiarity with IS security practices and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills and a collaborative team management approach.
