Position summary
We are seeking an independent and motivated research associate to join our team and play a key role in the discovery of innovative biologics for the treatment of cancer. This position offers the unique opportunity to accelerate progress across our internal and partnership programs and to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients.
Key responsibilities include
· Perform medium to high throughput immunoassays including, but not limited to, ELISAs and flow cytometry to support the discovery and development of antibody-based therapeutics
· Support the generation of new plasmid constructs and fulfill new clone requests by conducting cloning, purifying DNA, and analyzing sequencing
· Ensure experiments are conducted in a reproducible and scientifically rigorous manner, with data analyzed promptly to drive timely and informed decision making
· Communicate results effectively to internal and cross-functional teams and contribute to report writing where applicable
· Support inventory of common lab supplies
Required qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences or related discipline
· 2+ years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry
· Experience culturing multiple mammalian cell lines simultaneously and familiarity with sterile technique
· Knowledgeable in utilizing 2+ color flow cytometry for cell line characterization
· Motivated team player with ability to work in a cross-functional R&D team
· Demonstrates ability to deliver reproducible scientific results, excel in problem solving
· Detail-oriented individual with organizational ability to maintain clear and consistent documentation of experiments in an electronic lab notebook. A strong attention to detail is required
· Experience in basic software such as MS office suite, FlowJo (or equivalent), GraphPad Prism, etc.
Additional preferred qualifications
· Experience in fields of cancer biology, immuno-oncology, or immunology
· Experience working with discovery and development of therapeutic antibodies
· Experience in working with primary cell types (human, mouse and non-human primates)
· Experience in multi-color flow cytometry
