Alccon General Engineering is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team
immediately! This role is essential in ensuring job site safety, compliance, and training. The ideal
candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish, have a college degree in Public Safety
Administration, Safety Management, or Environmental Management (experience may be
considered in place of a degree), be up to date on OSHA policies and standards, and hold a valid California driver’s license, as the position requires travel to various job sites.
Responsibilities :
Ensure job site safety compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards
Conduct safety training and enforce company safety policies
Send daily dispatch and maintain accurate safety reports
Perform job site inspections and identify potential hazards
Collaborate with field crews and management to improve safety protocols
Requirements:
Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
College degree in Public Safety Administration, Safety Management, or Environmental
Safety Management (experience may supplement education)
Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
Proven experience in safety coordination within construction or a related industry
Strong communication and leadership skills to enforce safety policies and training
3-6 years experience with corporate safety programs
Strong relationship building skills
Self-starter and proactive thinker
The ability to work in a team environment
Well organized and results oriented
Ability to multi task and prioritize is needed
Advanced knowledge and the ability to work with MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to pass a background check & drug test
