About the Role:

To be considered for this role, you must be located in Louisiana, Oklahoma or Texas. Location: LOT Region (Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas) Travel: 40-50% expected Employment Type: Full-time Remote Work: Essential, with comprehensive support including hardware, software, and a dedicated phone Minimum 3 years of total years of sales experience, preferably in Oil & Gas and Commercial & Industrial markets Strong knowledge/experience with medium / high voltage electrical equipment, preferably with medium voltage distribution, power transformers, field service transformer testing and commissioning services Virginia – Georgia Transformer Corporation, the largest and fastest growing power transformer manufacturer in the US, has an immediate opening for a seasoned Sales Engineer for LOT (Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas) Region, who has a proven track-record of sales growth. This position is responsible for generating new inquiries, securing orders, developing and strengthening relationship with all customers in the LOT region. The Sales Engineer will learn our legacy of excellence to offer detailed and comprehensive custom-engineered products and solutions that meet the customer’s needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing all available channel partners and other resources, develop and maintain a robust inquiry pipeline that provides a foundation for future quote and booking activity. Track and analyze pipeline regularly and adjust methods to maximize inquiry to quote conversion
  • Work with application engineers to prepare and deliver timely, high-quality, accurate, quotation to all customers
  • Achieve order bookings goal by continuously monitoring outstanding quotes and taking necessary actions (visits, pricing, etc.) to enhance hit rate while meeting budgeted profit and plant loading targets.
  • Manage sales reps to ensure achievement of their sales goals – inquiry generation and follow-up, support customer visits, product training, quote closure and bid feedback. Measure sales rep performance and train or upgrade reps as necessary to maximize their performance.
  • Lead the selling and negotiation activities of all major opportunities
  • Work with internal Project Managers to ensure open communication and timely resolution of issues that support company’s commercial goals. Provide guidance to the Industrial Project Managers to maintain all projects stay on track, customers remained informed during the order execution to achieve high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Define and continuously maintain critical market intelligence from a market, customer and competitor view for the US Industrial market
  • Work with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral that highlights the value propositions/differentiators

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering or equivalent technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of total years of sales experience, preferably in Oil & Gas and Commercial & Industrial markets
  • Strong knowledge/experience with medium / high voltage electrical equipment, preferably with medium voltage distribution, power transformers, field service transformer testing and commissioning services
  • Experience in working with channel partners (manufacturer’s representatives, EPCs/contractors and distributors)
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated track-record of growing assigned sales territories year-over-year
  • Ability to make cold calls
  • Ability to travel 40-50% of the time
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • All candidates must currently reside within the states of Louisiana, Oklahoma or Texas to be considered.

Pay range and compensation package:

Territory: Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas (LOT) Region Sales Engineer is expected to travel between 40-50% of the time. Remote work is essential for this role, with the company offering comprehensive support including hardware, software, and a dedicated phone. Employment Type Full-time
