Position Description

Niles Shared Services, LLC, a privately held and financially strong industrial services company known for its commitment to worker safety, is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst. This role is ideal for a candidate who excels in executing plans efficiently and effectively, bringing projects to completion and energizing team efforts, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, precision, and systematic approaches.

The Senior Financial Analyst will lead financial planning and analysis efforts for the company while supporting high-level strategic planning and providing insights to senior management. This role demands a high degree of expertise in financial modeling, project management, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess high personal responsibility and integrity, enjoy preparing accurate models and presentations, and take pride in their work. They should be a collaborative, team-oriented individual willing to assist wherever needed to ensure the group provides accurate and timely financial information.



Position Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the financial analysis, financial planning and modeling for major projects and strategic initiatives.

• Develop and present detailed financial reports, forecasts, performance metrics, and dashboards.

• Oversee job performance analysis and ensure the preparation of detailed, actionable reports.

• Manage and ensure accuracy in Work-In-Progress (WIP) analysis and reporting.

• Partner with Project Managers to create accurate forecasts for ongoing jobs

• Analyze operational results relative to budget assumptions and recent trends.

• Identify key business drivers and provide actionable insights to senior management.

• Analyze the profitability of projects, regions, and segments.

• Provide high-level support to the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reconciliations and data management.

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

• Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive benchmarking.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts and business analysts.

• Perform special projects as assigned.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business improvements and efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or a related role.

• Construction or manufacturing experience preferred, familiarity with Work in Process accounting.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

• Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools. Vista Viewpoint a plus.

• Strong technical abilities, i.e., Office Suite, Power BI, SQL and/or other analytical tools

• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills as it relates to data mining and analytics.

• High degree of business acumen.

• Strong leadership and project management skills.

• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

• Self-motivated, high personal responsibility and integrity.

• Collaborative, team-oriented individual willing to assist wherever needed to ensure the group provides accurate and timely financial information.
