Summary

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and highly skilled Social Media Content Creator to manage and grow our presence on various social channels such as, Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, and more. This individual will be responsible for creating and posting content that resonates with our audience, boosts engagement, and elevates our brand’s online presence.

Essential Job Functions

Include but not limited to:

Content Creation & Strategy:

  • Develop, plan, and execute a content calendar for social media channels with a focus on Instagram and Tiktok (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest)
  • Create and edit high-quality visual content, including photos, videos, reels, stories, and graphics.
  • Leverage creative storytelling to highlight product features, behind-the-scenes content, customer testimonials, and the brand’s values.
  • Manage social media accounts, scheduling content and utilizing social media management tools
  • Use data insights to continuously optimize content for maximum engagement and reach.

Community Management & Engagement:

  • Engage with the community on a daily basis by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions.
  • Build strong relationships with followers, brand advocates, influencers, and potential customers.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging brand voice across all social media platforms.

Social Media Growth:

  • Develop strategies to organically grow followers, increase engagement, and expand the brand’s reach.
  • Identify and collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners that align with UNIONBAY’s values and goals.
  • Source and curate user-generated content for sharing across social media platforms and the website.
  • Monitor trends, challenges, and viral content to leverage opportunities to stay relevant and on-trend.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track key metrics such as follower growth, engagement rate, and overall campaign performance.
  • Analyze social media insights and data to refine strategies and improve content.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports to management on social media performance and recommend actionable insights.

Collaboration & Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Product, Customer Support, Sales) to ensure social media efforts align with broader business goals.
  • Assist with other marketing tasks as needed, such as product launches, promotions, giveaways, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Support the planning, preparation, and execution of eCommerce and lifestyle photoshoots.
  • Seattle Pacific Industries is the parent company for UNIONBAY, UNION and Supplies by UNIONBAY. While there is a focus on the UNIONBAY brand, we would like to grow social presence for the other two brands as well.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in social media content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms, including trends, best practices, and platform-specific features (Reels, Stories, etc.).
  • Excellent content creation skills, with a portfolio or examples of previous work (photo/video editing, writing, graphic design).
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of branding, messaging, and customer engagement.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and staying on top of trends in the social media space.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to leverage third party editing apps in content creation.
  • Bonus if you have experience with paid social campaigns or influencer marketing.

Additional Information

The starting hourly wage for this position ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, DOE. Other benefits include medical & dental insurance, PTO & paid holidays, 401K retirement plan, paid parental leave, and UNIONBAY.com store discount. This is a full-time position in our Seattle office.
