BEPC has an open position for Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer in Phoenix, AZ!

Contract W2 Period: 9-month contract with possibilities for extensions

Pay & Benefits: $50.00 - $53.12/hr. +Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance

Stress Analysis Engineer - Sr Advanced Mech Design

Hybrid Role: 3 days onsite at AZ43 and 2 days remote / Day Shift

Must Have requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines and/or other structural, load bearing components and systems.
• Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses.
• Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods
• 5 full years of experience conducting stress analysis via classic hand calculation and ANSYS workbench FEA for Aerospace or Space industries.
• Fully trained in GD&T & capable to use it to review blueprints and inspection reports.

Description:

• The Engine Components and Systems Analysis (ESCA) is responsible for the design, development and analysis of gas turbine engine components for propulsion engines and APUs.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for stress, vibration, and heat transfer analyses.
• Responsibilities include providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs.
• You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements.

Other responsibilities include communicating with Project engineering teams, conduction of design reviews, presentations to internal and external customers and contributing to department process improvement initiatives.
