Job Description

We are looking for a Tax Analyst to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns and related schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
• Prepare and review tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP
• Assist with tax planning and research projects, including evaluating the tax implications of proposed transactions and implementing tax-efficient strategies
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax compliance and reporting activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as tax authorities and external advisors
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
• Provide tax-related guidance to other departments within the organization, such as finance and legal
• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate the impact of those changes to stakeholders within the organization
• Train and mentor junior tax staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• 2+ years of experience in tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax planning, including experience in a public accounting firm
• Partnership tax experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
