• Salary Range: $61,213 - $76,065

About the Job: Balance Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Tax Specialist for a valued client in Dallas, TX. In this critical role, you will ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing and tax reporting. You will be instrumental in resolving payroll tax liabilities, establishing future payroll taxes, and maintaining precise employee tax records.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Review and resolve outstanding payroll tax liabilities to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Set up and maintain payroll tax accounts for current and future tax jurisdictions.
• Reconcile payroll tax filings and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with tax agencies.
• Update employee tax information for worked-in and lived-in jurisdictions to ensure proper tax deductions.
• Maintain accurate employee tax records and adjust for changes as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and payroll regulations, implementing necessary updates in the payroll system.
• Process updates in ADP related to employee addresses, tax withholding status changes, and other payroll adjustments.

Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Experience with payroll tax reconciliation and resolving tax discrepancies.
• Ability to analyze payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, tax agencies, and internal teams.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience handling payroll tax accounts and resolving tax-related discrepancies.
