The University of Alaska Anchorage Kodiak College seeks a Maintenance Service Worker II position. If you have experience in cleaning and maintaining commercial or industrial buildings and sites, this may be the job for you!
Maintain Kodiak College grounds, keeping campus clean, safe and attractive. Seasonal employees assist staff with a variety of landscaping tasks: mowing, trimming, raking, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weed control. Employees utilize many types of hand and power tools; operate vehicles and light-duty equipment; and assist with interior maintenance.
An applicant must possess good communication skills; the ability to understand and follow directions and provide feedback to supervisor; and the ability to perform strenuous labor over long periods of time in all types of weather. Employees must provide your own protective clothing: i.e. rain gear, appropriate footwear. Must have knowledge of commercial cleaning tasks, methods, functions and institutional cleaning standards. Must possess the ability to use commercial cleaning equipment including floor scrubber, carpet extractors, vacuums, mops, brooms, and brushes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must have an unrestricted Alaska driver's license. In addition, the applicant must meet UAA's safe driving criteria.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Kodiak College campus in Kodiak. This is a part-time, non-exempt staff position.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.

Salary Information: MSW 2 /Step 1 $18.64/hr. (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Wage Grade Schedule ).
