Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach to lead our high-achieving program into its next chapter of excellence and growth. Our team has recently achieved notable success, including a State Championship appearance and a Conference Championship victory, and we are looking for a coach who can both honor this legacy and build a sustainable, Christ-centered program for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and disciple student-athletes through a Christian worldview, modeling Christ-like behavior on and off the court.
• Oversee all aspects of the girls varsity basketball program, including planning practices, in-game coaching, skill development, and team culture.
• Build a long-term, sustainable program that fosters growth from middle school through varsity levels.
• Maintain a high standard of competitive excellence, building upon the team’s recent success at the conference and state levels.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Department to align with the school’s mission, vision, and core values.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop assistant coaches and potential feeder program staff.
• Communicate regularly with players, families, and school administration.
• Organize and lead off-season workouts, camps, and open gyms to promote year-round development.

Qualifications

• A strong and constantly growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Previous successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school varsity level or higher.
• Proven ability to develop athletes individually and collectively to compete at a high level.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in building a long-term program structure (youth through varsity).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to integrate faith and sport in a way that supports the school’s spiritual development goals.
• Relevant coaching certifications a plus.
