Job Description

Position: VMware Consultant

Duration: 2 months with potential to extend (4~ hours per week)

Location: Fully Remote

Job Details: Client is considering upgrading to the latest version of VMware or moving to Proxmox, Nutanix, or another provider. The ideal candidate will be hypervisor agnostic and will have previous experience consulting in this space.

Skill Requirements:

• VMware analysis consulting experience
• Hypervisor replication consulting experience
• Proxmox and Nutanix

1. VMware Analysis Consulting Experience :
   • Strong understanding of VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi hosts, and VM management.
   • Experience with VMware's suite of tools, such as vRealize Operations, Site Recovery Manager, and VMware vSAN.
   • Ability to analyze VMware infrastructure for optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
   • Experience in upgrading, migrating, and troubleshooting VMware environments.
2. Hypervisor Replication Consulting Experience :
   • Deep knowledge of hypervisor-based replication technologies, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery (e.g., VMware vSphere Replication, Zerto, and similar tools).
   • Understanding of how to implement and optimize replication strategies for virtual machines (VMs) across multiple environments.
   • Experience with configuring and managing replication for data protection in virtualized environments.
3. Proxmox :
   • Expertise in Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE), which is an open-source platform for running virtualized environments.
   • Experience managing Proxmox clusters, configuring virtual machines, containers (LXC), and managing storage solutions.
   • Familiarity with integrating Proxmox with other technologies for backup, monitoring, and high availability.
4. Nutanix :
   • Knowledge of Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), including deployment and management of Nutanix AOS (Acropolis Operating System).
   • Experience with Nutanix's virtualization management platform (Prism) and leveraging Nutanix for scalable storage, compute, and networking solutions.
   • Understanding of Nutanix's disaster recovery (DR) solutions, such as Nutanix Leap and data protection technologies.

These skills would be beneficial for a consultant role that deals with virtualization and infrastructure management, providing assessments, optimizations, or migrations within VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, or hypervisor replication environments.
