Job Description

Summary:

To ensure success, you need to effectively multitask, be dedicated, competent, and possess strong leadership skills while working with a diverse team and promoting all department requirements and standards. It is essential to work as a team to achieve the company's goals. This position will require a significant presence on the warehouse floor. To be successful, this job necessitates hands-on management of daily operations.

Job Duties:

  • Achieves warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; and identifying trends.
  • Manages warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures, as well as following processes for receiving/shipping products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Manages warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating and recommending new equipment.
  • Manages warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing workflow, manpower, space requirements, and equipment layout; implements necessary changes.
  • Manages the daily activities of staff.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures, coordinating patrols with the security department.
  • Accomplishes warehouse operations and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Upholds compliance with organizational protocols.
  • Exhibits effective communication with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Generates weekly KPI reports highlighting operational milestones.
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Have a commonsense approach to solving operational and commercial concerns.
  • Be proactive instead of reactive.
  • Be sure operations is fully trained to do their job and other jobs as required.
  • Stay within budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Minimum of 10 years Food Processing experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
