We are seeking a leader to be our next Maintenance Supervisor in Lewiston, Michigan.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly inspect the plant problem solving any production obstacles and necessary maintenance. Inspections will include an examination of plant equipment and systems including preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory management system to track, manage, and optimize maintenance inventory levels to maintain production flow.
  • Coordinate communication between service vendors and part supply vendors.
  • Develop a comprehensive maintenance plan that will include preventative maintenance, prioritization, weekly schedules, and management of field operations.
  • Maintain and continuously improve work instructions for the maintenance area and function.
  • Lead the development of maintenance budget and long-range planning which provides insight to future capital expenditures, ensuring preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Act as a member of the H.B. Leadership Team to include participating in safety committees and activities to help ensure that all aspects of the manufacturing process meet 6S Standards, legal requirements, quality standards, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
  • Professionally collaborate and foster teamwork with other production team leaders to analyze, plan, coordinate and execute maintenance objectives and projects.
  • Manage staffing levels within the department Will plan for any open positions and participate in the recruitment efforts such as employment interviews and vetting candidates.
  • Direct supervision of all maintenance employees to include evaluation of their work performance by direct one on one coaching to producing a formal evaluation during the Salary Review Process.
  • Oversight and development of training for maintenance employees to include practical training and personal development.

Experience Requirements

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Technical or Engineering Field or equivalent
  • Five years of industrial experience
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft, Maintenance Management Software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and ERP software is preferred.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, logic controllers, and mechanical systems
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems is a plus
